We are also trying to find out about the schedule A rumor and if its true, to have the recaptured visas go to all categories not just schedule A.

If you are one of those members that were once part of IV and either got banned or left because you felt we are working against your interests, then you were never part of this community and effort. This is a genuine effort and a lot of people's careers and personal lives are affected due to the greencard problem and we are genuinely trying to fix it. If you are trying to spread a negative message urging people not to contribute and posting negative remarks, then you either are not affected by retrogression (and so you dont belong here) or you are so naive that you are hurting your own interests by posting negative remarks on other forums.
Lets also see how many members are willing to come forward to actively work for IV and also contrbute for the cause.
lets also see how many H4s come forward to volunteer their time for this effort. We are on H1s and find it hard to manage our jobs and IV work. H4s can be a great asset in our volunteer efforts on various fronts.

Looks like this Sheila is in her new avatar, from 3 year degree people trying to make $$$ in others troubles! She threatened to sue IVians for exposing her tricks when she tried to advt her service in her posts, as friendly posts.

When I was asked to resubmit documents after the interview (via drop box), the consulate said they will need 6-8 working days from the date of receipt of the latter. They indeed took only 7 working days.
Also, I believe they must already have done PIMS verification in my case since they asked for additional info 16 days after the interview. So in total it took them 29 days ( incl weekends)
In your case, it doesnt seem they got enough time to do PIMS. It is hard to
estimate the delays.

but this principle generally works in two scenarios - either when the leader (or lead group) is appointed by a higher authority (like employees following the lead of a CEO appointed by board of directors which in turn has been "elected" by shareholders) or when the leader has been directly or indirectly elected by the constituents.......
Let me give an example.......an entrepreneur starts a company with a great idea.....grows it and nurtures it with great love and passion......dedicates his whole life to the idea and the venture.......then the entrepreneur needs a larger canvas and more money to grow the vision further.......he takes the company public or gets private equity funding or raises debt........now the new owners/ stakeholders decide they need to change the management and decide to elect a person of their own choice........suddenly a rank outsider replaces the entrepreneur as CEO........the new CEO now has the legitimacy and owners' backing to dictate how the company should function.....
I welcome red dots but take a moment to absorb what I am saying and whether the principle is wrong......

A lot of people, including me have lost faith in IV. They are not going to pay. We don't know what IV is working on
I believe the core group has made efforts to let us know what they are working on. Obviously, we shouldn't expect them to give us a daily update. That would be quite stupid.

I think this has also been addressed here in different threads. IV cannot, just by itself, get congress to pass pro-immigration laws. However, it can influence the senate/congress to add pro-EB provisions to pro-immigration laws.
If you think that with 8000 members, and 300 contributing members, you can have the congress/senate pass pro-EB laws, you are grossly mistaken.
IV needs to figure out other ways to generate cash if it thinks that would help. One way would be advertising on the site. I think IV has built this website well and it is an asset it needs to use NOW. I believe IV can charge up to $10,000 a day for advertising on the website. That would be $300,000/month or $3.6 million a year. Even $3000/day would result in over $1 million. That should not be very difficult to do.

Sitting on our butts = Guaranteed failure

They are doing a funding drive.
On day 1 of their funding drive, 117 people gave a total of 5312 dollars.
Their goal is 70K for this quarter. And they hope to raise that money in one week. After this week, they will again ask for funding in the next quarter.
Obviously they have a HUGE membership compared to IV. But that just underscores the need for increasing membership.

Remember, most people are working hard and chances are that they may get fired for jobs doing this.
SO many IV members have been risking thier jobs to work hard on these things.
So many people have taken unpaid vacations, spent valuble time on this.
Kudos to Aman, Himanshu, Jwalant, and all other folks who are helping the community.
A lot of people are free riders, they come to IV for informartion only. A lot of people do not want to do anything, just because someone else is doing it for them. I have heard excuses from people saying "Don't you have anything else to do??? You will be fired from your job, I bet you, don't get disillusioned by these folks at IV, they cant move a stone"

I dont think they will stamp like that...If you show only AP they stamp I-94 based on its expiry says AOS pending or If you show only H1-B visa on PP they stamp I-94 based on Visa expire date..
But showing both at POE doesn't not give any value and also it might confuses IO..

HOPE THIS WILL STILL SOLVE MANY PEOPLE'S DOUBTS.

My lawyer was not prompt enough to mail the applications by July 2 and after USCIS issue new update, they decided not to file as it will be rejected. In light of the lawsuits, below is the response I got from them?
"In light of the currently pending class action lawsuit against USCIS and numerous requests to file for Adjustment of Status despite the unavailable visa numbers, we have decided to do the following with regards to current filing of adjustments:
If you have an older priority date (EB-2 or EB-3) such as 2004 or earlier, it would most likely be a waste of your time and money to file your adjustment now. It could take over a year and a half (if not longer) for a decision to be reached in the lawsuit, and chances are that your priority date would come current before then, making you eligible to file your adjustment.
If you have an newer priority date (EB-2 or EB-3) such as 2005/6 or later, it may be beneficial to file the adjustment now and become part of the class action lawsuit, but this is just speculation. In any case, the initial filing would be outwardly denied and no immediate benefit would come of it. Even if the lawsuit had a favorable outcome, you will have to refile the adjustment at the time of the court's decision, which would incur more legal fees. Again, it could take over a year and a half (if not longer) for a decision to be reached in the lawsuit, and your priority date could come current before then, making you eligible to file your adjustment and making the lawsuit a big waste of time and money.
Ultimately it is your decision as to what you want to do. We are willing to file your case now if you so wish. mrajatish, Thanks for taking the initiative, we have thought about such a drive in the past but later on gave up because the transaction fees on 25 dollars comes to about $4-$5, which is almost same for $50. But yes if people can just spare $25 than even $20 which comes to IV is good enough to reach the target.
How about this - let us have a couple of volunteers call/email people asking for $25 contribution. If we can get 1/2 of 3000 people contributing $25 each, we will get to about 120K. I am ready to take initiative in this - core group, can I get this initiative going?

My I-140 got approved even though my company also did not file 2006 Tax return. My company is a small(less than 30 employee) loss making company. Our company secretary just gave a letter that company has not filed tax return for 2006 and has asked for extension, attached request for extension. If you are meeting any one of the three criteria of the yates memo, there are very high chances of I-140 getting appoved. Search for yates memo and you will get more details. Is your current wages more than prevailing wages? If yes, then you will be fine. Your lawyer has do a very good analysis of companies ability to pay prevailing wages.
